Stevens Point, WI fall from roof, Aug 1908

Marcellus Palbrach of 926 Prairie street, fell from the roof of P. H. Casbin's building at the corner of Church and Monroe streets Saturday evening at 6.20 and dislocated or severely strained his left wrist, cut his face and bruised his right arm, back and limbs quite painfully. He was removed to his home and attended by Drs. Rogers and Southwick. Mr. Palbrach had been laying a new shingle roof and was about to tack down the footboard when his feet slipped and he went down off the roof. En route he struck a scaffolding and a brace which increased his bruises but probably prevented the fall from being fatal. He landed on the bare ground and was badly shaken up.
