Shullsburg, WI Fire Jun 1850

FIRE AT SHULLSBURGH.---Last Sunday about 1 o'clock, the tailor's shop of Mr. Lennon, Shullsburgh, Wis., was discovered to be on fire, and it was consumed. It soon spread to the adjoining store of Mr. J M. Brewster, which, with the Post-office, were likewise destroyed. The fire then spread to the adjoining dwelling houses, owned by Mr. Wm. Hoskins, but occupied by Mr. Wm Haydon and Dr. Stokdart, which were burnt, though their contents were mostly saved. The whole loss is supposed to be about $7,000.
