Which May Prove a Leap to Death.
LACROSSE, Wis., Dec. 22. A loss of $100,000 resulted from a fire which started here this morning at 9 in the large department store of the Lacrosse Dry Goods Company. Miss Hattie Lovejoy, head milliner of the firm, jumped from the third story window and was so badly hurt that her recovery is doubtful.
