Fall From Slide Causes Back Injury
Henry L. Mueller, 50, of 1701 N. Thirteenth street, cheese bandage manufacturer, received a severe injury to his back when he fell from an eight-foot sliding board at Wilke's Lake, 20 miles north of here, at about 7 o'clock last night.
He was rushed to St. Nicholas hospital here. X-ray pictures were being taken this morning to determine the extent of the injury. An attending physician, who accompanied Mr. Mueller here from the scene o the accident, said his condition was serious.
The Sheboygan man had taken his wife and daughter, June, 11, to the lake to bathe and had climbed the ladder leading to an 8-foot sliding board. He slipped as he reached the top and fell into shallow water near the shore. He immediately was brought ashore and given all possible medical attention. When it developed that he had been severely injured he was brought to Sheboygan, at about 12 o'clock last night.
