Cascade Fire Causes Loss Of Big Barn
Cascade. - Fire believed to have started from a dust explosion shortly after threshing operations had been started last night destroyed the large barn on the farm of Mrs. Belle Lau, one and one-quarter miles north of here, at 6 o'clock.
Loss involved in the burning of the building, twenty-six loads of hay and some machinery, was estimated at $3,500.
Neighbors succeeded in saving the live stock. The Cascade fire department reached the scene but in spite of every effort was unable to check the blaze.
