Burlington, VT Hotel Fire, Jan 1910
Burlington, Vt., Hotel Burns.
BURLINGTON, Vt., Jan. 8.---Two hundred guests were driven from the Hotel Burlington late to-day by a fire which destroyed that structure and the adjoining Walker block, causing a loss estimated at more than $300,000. Only the walls of the two buildings are standing to-night. All the hotel guests escaped without injury, but many lost all or part of their valuables. Defective electric light wiring in a bathroom on the first floor of the hotel is believed to have started the fire.
