St. Albans, VT Roundhouse Fire, Jun 1908

Midnight Fire at Roundhouse.

[illegible -- first four words] shortly before midnight Wednesday night, June 17, in the boiler room and engineers’ room in the roundhouse of the Central Vermont railroad in this city gutted the engineers’ room and damaged the roof of the building. The estimated loss is $500, covered by insurance. The origin of the fire is unknown. When discovered in the boiler room it had made good headway and the fire department fought for an hour before the blaze was extinguished.
