Storm Stikes Parker County.
WEATHERFORD, Texas, April 18 (Sp).--- The storm which cut across Parker County from the southwest to northeast late Sunday evening caused heavy damage over a strip of country fifteen miles in length. Balch Consolidated School, a $5,000 building, was destroyed. Near by, the Elliott home on the Lee Walker farm was destroyed. The storm next struck in the Spring Creek community, where many barns and outbuildings were blown down. Center Point Church, four miles east of here on the Bankhead Highway, was demolished. The home of Richard Pearson in the Dicey community was blown from the foundation and barns and outbuildings blown down. Some hail fell, but no heavy damage was done. There was rainfall of about two inches over the county.
