2-CAR CRASH KILLS 7 ON HIGHWAY IN TEXAS.

Taft, Tex. (AP) - Five San Antonio young persons and a man and wife from Taft, Tex., were killed early Sunday when two cars smashed together east of this south Texas town on U.S. 181.
Six persons were dead at the scene and a seventh died at a hospital.
The Texas Highway Patrol said LORENZO GARCIA, 44, and his wife AUDELIA PENA GARCIA, both of Taft, were killed in one car. She was the driver and died of injuries at a Sinton hospital.
The officers said they were unable to determine who drove the second car. Those killed were JAMES DEAN KEOUGHAN, 20; DAVID ARTHUR ROCKS, 21; LOUIS A. WILLIAMS, 19; ROBERTA KNOELLER, 18, and GLORIA ANN DRAPER, 18, all of San Antonio.
