Rockdale, TX Man Electrocuted After Storm, May 1922

ROCKDALE, Tex. May 4. -- J. D. Hamilton, senior partner of the firm of Hamilton & Ferguson was instantly killed Wednesday night when he slipped on a live wire.  Hamilton had been in Cameron, serving as a Juror, and had just returned on the late train.

A terrific electric, wind and rain storm came up, and Mr. Hamilton had not walked more than a block from the station, when he came in contact with the wire that had fallen during the storm.

One of his feet were almost burned off.

Hamilton had at various times served as Constable from this district.

Surviving besides his widow, are four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Ferguson, Miss Laura Hamilton, Mrs. Emma Davis, a small daughter, and one son, Henry Hamilton.
