PRIVATE PLANE CRASH KILLS THREE.
Kent. Tex., April 12. -- (AP) -- An attempt of three men to fly across this plains country proved fatal to all when their plane crashed at an isolated spot south of here.
Cowboys found the bodies in the wreckage of their cabin type monoplane yesterday. The men were identified at F. L. DREW, Fort Worth, Texas; D. M. LAWSON, deputy United States marshal, Manti, Utah; and, EDWARD G. KNAPP, Ypsilanti, Mich, pilot.
Two representatives of the Mahoney Aircraft Corporation of San Diego, Cal., who are enroute here to investigate the crash, said the KNAPP party left Ryan Field there Saturday. It was thought the plane crashed Monday noon.
Ranchers believed a landing had been attempted. The tail of the plane apparently struck the bank of a creek and the ship turned over several times.
