Four Injured In Gouldbusk Wreck

Three Brothers And Sister Hurt

Coleman, July 8. (Spl) – Three brothers and a sister are in Overall Memorial hospital here today, two seriously hurt, as the result of an automobile accident near Gouldbusk at 10:30 last night.

Paul HORNSBY, 24, has a serious head injury. His 17-year-old sister, Sada, received a fracture of the hip and a broken knee. Two brothers, Marl, 22, and Leonard, 15, have severe cuts and bruises. All are children of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. HORNSBY of the Gouldbusk community.

The four were returning to their home from church services at Gouldbusk when the accident occurred.

There were hurrying home over a bad stretch of road to avoid a rain. Paul, who was driving, was blinded by a flash of lightening, as the car was going over a culvert which was located on a curve. The brakes on the car suddenly locked, and the automobile turned over.

Sheriff Frank MILLS and Deputy George ROBEY went to the scene of the wreck, near Rufe HOLT home north of Gouldbusk, and assisted in bringing the four victims to the hospital.
