Nashville, TN Auto Crash Kills Seven, Mar 1952

7 YOUTHS KILLED AS CAR OVERTURNS.

Nashville, Tenn., March 16. (AP) - Seven young Negroes died today when their auto failed to make a double-S curve. An eighth was injured critically.
Deputy Sheriff I. B. George said the car skidded upright about 100 feet, struck a tree, overturned and skidded another 200 feet on its top.
He said the bodies were horribly mutilated.
The dead:
ROY SMITH, JR., 21;
JOHN D. MANIERS, 18;
SAM D. SMITH, 18;
and JOHN W. MOORE, 18, all of Lebanon, Tenn.;
ROSETTA GREEN, 18, and MARY ANN HOLT of Nashville, and an unidentified woman.
