Fire in Providence.

Providence, R. I., Monday, Dec. 1. A section of the lumber yard of Mr. Billings Brastow, running from South Water-street, was destroyed by fire this afternoon, at about 4 o'clock. The flames were extinguished after a loss of about $6,000. There was insurance at the American office for $2,000, and at Roger Williams office for a similar amount.
