2 DIE IN MONTREAL FIRE.

Nine Other Persons Injured by Jumping from Windows

MONTREAL, Quebec, April 18--A fire this afternoon in the plant of the Canada Steam Laundry caused the death of a man and a woman and injury to nine other persona, won of whom may die.

A quantity of benzine in the building spread the flames rapidly, and a panic ensued among the employe[sic], thirty women and ten men. A number of them jumped from windows, and six women who had made their way to a fire women who had made their way to a fire escape on the third floor also leaped.
