Williamsport, PA House Fire, Dec 1894
Dwelling Burned Saturday Night
A short time before 11 o'clock Saturday night the dwelling 1205 East Third street, below the city limits, occupied by Mrs. Emma S. Stopper, was discovered to be on fire. An alarm was sent to No. 4 hose company and responded to. It was a stubborn blaze; the house being frame. A hose stream was turned on, but the entire building and contents were destroyed. The building was owned by Mrs. Mary A. Sarton, who, resides in the house adjacent. The loss on the building and contents is covered by insurance.
