Centralia, PA Mine Accident, Sept 1913

MINER STILL ENTOMBED.

CENTRALIA, Pa., Sept. 30.---Rescuers continue hard at work today trying to save the life of Thomas Toshesky, the miner who was entombed last Friday morning in the continental mine of the Lehigh Valley Caol Company. A hole has been bored through the wall of the coal behind which he is imprisoned, and early today a tube was inserted. Through this tube Toshesky is being given food.

The man was once before entombed, a fall of coal in a mine at Ashland holding him prisoner for many hours.
