4 CHILDREN INJURED IN BUS ACCIDENT.
Gettysburg - Four school children were treated and released at The Gettysburg Hospital after a school bus accident in front of James Gettys Elementary School Friday afternoon.
A hospital official said this morning that four children were treated and released after X-rays and examinations. However, the hospital would not release the identities of the victims.
Repeated telephone calls to school officials were not returned this morning.
David Hutchinson, the Gettysburg Fire Department ambulance captain, said four persons were transported to the hospital, but said Cumberland Township Police investigated and could give no other information.
A spokeswoman at the Cumberland Township Police office this morning, said no report of the accident was on file, and Chief Barry Sease was not available to give details.
Saturday morning, the Adams County Control reported dispatching the ambulance, but a spokesman at the Gettysburg fire company station house said there was no record of the Friday afternoon ambulance call.
