At Thompson station, in Jackson township, on the line of the Elmira and State Line railroad, there stood a large saw-mill and fifteen houses and a large quantity of logs and sawed lumber. This property was all destroyed during Friday forenoon. The property except two of the dwelling-houses belonging to Mr. Thomas Barker, who purchased it only a few weeks since. The loss is estimated at about $15,000. Only a small portion of the household goods were saved by the occupants of the houses.
