Rusty Nail Causes Death

JAMES NORDICK, 26 years old, of 218 Winton street, died yesterday in the Pennsylvania Hospital form[sic] tetanus after suffering terrible agony for five days. NORDICK was stricken with lockjaw while at work in Spreckles' Sugar Refinery, at Reed street wharf, on Friday inst. The young man ran a rusty nail through his foot, sustaining a punctured wound, which he treated with home remedies. He paid no more attention to the injury until stricken, when he asked to be removed to a hospital.
