Indiana, PA Lightning Strike Aug 1896

Slightly Shocked.

John Jamison, who lives on the Taylor farm about one mile south of town, was slightly shocked by a stroke of lightning during the storm of Sunday evening. The bolt struck a pear tree, on which were roosting two chickens, and killed both of them. It then passed into the house, but aside from shocking Mr. Jamison did no damage.
