Toronto, ON Sturgeon Point Drownings, Aug 1880
TORONTO, Aug. 16.---Robert Wilkes, wholesale jeweler of this city, his daughter Florence, aged 15, and son Bertie, aged 11, were drowned at Strugeon Point to-day. Florence and Bertie were bathing and the boy getting out beyond his depth, the father who was in a boat jumped out to save him. The daughter also went to the rescue and all were drowned.
