CHEMICAL LABORATORY BURNED FRIDAY NIGHT.

NO INSURANCE -- SUPPOSED TO HAVE CAUGHT FROM WIND BLOWN GAS FLAME -- THE LOSS.

Columbus, O., Feb. 20. -- The chemical laboratory at Ohio State university was destroyed by fire last night. THe loss is estimated at $87,000, of which $62,000 represents the value of the building and the remainder equipment and material. There is no insurance. The fire is supposed to have been caused by a draft blowing a gas flame against woodwork.
