Almost every house in town was lifted above its foundation. Stables, summer kitchens and other out buildings were moved onto other people's lots.

The tank house at the oil station was scattered all over the country, and nothing but the pipe and connections saved the station.

The storm travelled along the south of the L. F. & W. R. R. track paralled to it, about 300 feet in width. It took Schultheis' barn and house off their support slayed the timber in its course, laid low the fences and did great destruction, all in about three minutes.

At Hume station, Allen county, two churches were destroyed and 15 houses blown from their foundations, causing a loss of $25,000.
