AUTO AND TRUCK COLLISION NEAR DELPHOS.

Delphos, Ohio (AP) - In an auto-truck accident 1.8 miles west of Delphos on Route 697 at 7:55 a.m. Monday, two Van Wert youths were injured, neither seriously.
A milk truck operated by HUBERT E. ELWER, 32, of Route 2, Delphos, and the auto driven by FRANCIS BALLIET, 19, of 709 North Washington Street, Van Wert, collided as both were east bound. According to Van Wert post state highway patrolmen, BALLIET attempted to pass the milk truck as the truck was making a left turn into the Joe Luersman farm.
BALLIET received a laceration over the right eye and lacerations of the arm and head. A passenger in the car, ROBERT SCHAFFNER, 17, of 740 Woodlawn Ave., Van Wert suffered a fracture of the left shoulder and minor abrasions of the right shoulder and arm. Both youths were treated at the office of a Delphos physician.
BALLIET'S auto was demolished as it torn down a fence and broke off a utility pole. The milk truck was extensively damaged about the front and left side.
