Pastor of the Church of Christ at Ashtabula Dies From Injuries Received in a Runaway.

ASHTABULA, June 11.—Rev. George A. Smith, pastor of the Church of Christ of this city, died very suddenly today, as the result of injuries received in a runaway a week ago. While driving, his horses became frightened at a gypsy wagon, overturned the carriage and Mr. Smith was thrown violently to the ground receiving a compound fracture of one leg. In spite of the best surgical attendance, blood poisoning set in, resulting in his death.
Rev. Mr. Smith came here about a year ago from Ada, O.. He was a brilliant pulpit orator and was popular with all classes. He was thirty-five years of age and leaves a widow and a daughter.
