FIRE DESTROYS RESORT HOTEL.
South Fallsburg (AP) -- Fire destroyed a vacant summer resort hotel here Friday night and threatened for a time to engulf nearby buildings in wind whipped flames. No one was injured. Cause of the fire was not immediately determined.
A new building in the hotel complex and several other outbuildings were saved when firemen kept them wetted down with hoses.
The fire erupted about 9 p.m. in the Morningside Hotel, which was closed for the season. The main building contained about 50 rooms.
