New York, NY Fatal Fall From Fire Escape Aug 1893

Little Frances Crimmins and Her Brother Killed--Other Fatal Falls.
FRANCES CRIMMINS, aged five, and her brother, BARTLEY, aged two, were yesterday put to play on the fire escape at 204 West Sixty-first Street. Some boards which covered the well of the escape tipped, and both the children slipped through and fell to the paved courtyard, five stories below.
Bartley fell on top of Frances, but broke both arms and sustained a compound fracture of the skull. Frances was instantly killed.
An ambulance was summoned, and Bartley was taken to the Rossevelt Hospital, where he died.
