Comstock, N.Y. - CANICE P. MAHONEY, 25, summer resident of Little Silver, N.J., and his mother, MRS. MOLLY CASHEN MAHONEY, New York, were killed late last night when the plane in which the former had left Red Bank, N.J. airport Saturday night crashed atop a wooded Adirondack mountain ridge.
The victims are the wife and the son of Jeremiah T. Mahoney of New York former Amateur Athletic union president.
A New York state police lieutenant identified the bodies and expressed puzzlement over the apparent explosion of the plane in mid-air before it crashed into the trees.

Body Jammed In Cabin.
The body of MR. MAHONEY was found jammed in the cabin of the wrecked plane, while that of his mother was found on the ground a hundred feet away. Parts of the craft were strewn over a large section of the farm near where the cabin and one wing crashed in the tree tops.
