Brooklyn, NY Auto Accident, May 1933


Brooklyn, N.Y. - The babe killed was, six-months-old Brooklyn baby, MARY COLLINS, daughter of Mrs. Theresa Collins, of 590 Rogers Avenue. She died at Beth El Hospital after a car in which she was riding overturned on Linden Boulevard near Watkins Street at 9 o'clock last night.
JOHN COLLINS, 32, of 257 Winthrop Street, the driver, received lacerations of the left hand; MRS. COLLINS, lacerations of the right ear; JOHN COLLINS, JR., 2, abrasions of the forehead; JOSEPHINE COLLINS, 10 months, lacerations of the face; MICHAEL COLLINS, 55, fracture of the left side and knee injury, and HANNAH COLLINS, 30, lacerations and contusions.
MICHAEL COLLINS was taken to Kings County Hospital and the others were allowed to go home after treatment by an ambulance surgeon.
JOHN COLLINS told police the car overturned when he swerved to avoid a collision with another car.
