Green River, NY Hotel Fire, Sept 1905

The hotel owned by Floring Bills near Green River, N. Y., was destroyed by fire early Monday morning, with a loss of about $4000, with only about $2500 insurance. The origin of the fire is a mystery. A portion of the furniture was saved. A new harvesting machine, valued at several hundred dollars, was stored under the hotel shed during Sunday, which was also destroyed. The hotel was a rather popular resort, and had for years been frequented by Great Barrington people.
