FOUR PERSONS CREMATED.

TERRIBLE RESULTS OF AN EARLY MORNING FIRE AT JAMESTOWN, N. Y.

Jamestown, N. Y., Nov. 23. -- By the burning of the Old Homestead Hotel this morning MRS. MARSH, MRS. JANE BUCHANAN and her little son and MAGGIE WILSON, all except the boy, employes of the hotel, were suffocated. The WILSON girl was badly burned. Her parents live near Bradford. MRS. MARSH has a husband in the county house at Warren. MRS. BUCHANAN came from Butler county. The fire caught from the kitchen range. The financial loss will reach about $15,000. MR. WILLIAM H. LOWRY, of Buffalo, owned the buildings. The four deaths caused deep gloom throughout the city. No one is blamed, as one inmate of the fatal room escaped and in the excitement all were supposed to be safe.
