East Alton, NH Fatal Farm Building Fire, Oct 1893
WOLFBOROUGH, N. H., Oct. 30.---At East Alton the farm buildings owned by Sewall T. Roberts and occupied by Enoch Durgin, were burned last evening, with twenty tons of hay, two hogs, farming utensils, and a considerable portion of the household furniture. In attempting to save some of the furniture, Mr. Durgin was overcome by smoke and was burned to death.
