Oxford, NH House Fire, Sept 1883
At Oxford, N. H.-Loss $30,000.

CONCORD, N. H., Sept. 2.--Daniel F. Tillotson's homestead, two large barns and other out buildings, with most of their contents, in Oxford, a mile and a half from the village, were burned yesterday afternoon. The loss included a large quantity tons of hay forty tons of straw and four hundred bushels of rye. In addition to his farming operations, Mr. Tillotson is widely known as an extensive dealer in bark and lumber in New England and Canada. His loss is estimated at $20,000, with an insurance of $15,000. The fire is supposed to have been accidental.
