Concord, N.H., Nov. 30. -- The plant of the Concord Daily Patriot, was heavily damaged by fire which virtually destroyed White's Opera House block early today. The bulk of the loss estimated at $150,000, was sustained by EDWARD J. GALLAGHER, publisher of the newspaper, who also owned the building. Other occupants of the structure included, the Republican state committee and the theatre which was the oldest in the city.
The fire started in the property room of the theatre where an amateur performance was given last night. The damage to the offices, press and composing rooms of the Daily Patriot, which were on the ground floor was mainly caused by water.
