FIVE KILLED WHEN TWO CARS COLLIDE.

ONE AUTO SKIDS ON WET PAVEMENT NEAR PALMYRA, MO., AND GOES INTO PATH OF OTHER.

Palmyra, Mo., July 14 - (AP) - A two car crash on wet pavement of U.S. Highway 61 near here tonight killed five persons, four of them members of an Illinois family.
One other person was reported in critical condition at a nearby Hannibal hospital.
The dead were identified by the Missouri Highway Patrol as:
HARRY COLBERT, 51, Moline, Ill.;
his wife MARY, 34;
and two sons, JAMES, 5, and their 10 year old boy CHARLES.
Killed in the other car was MRS. VIVIAN E. ATCHISON, 29, of Dallas, Tex.
JAMES ATCHISON, 32, husband of VIVIAN, is the hospital patient.
Patrolmen said the Illinois car skidded on the wet pavement about 1 1/2 miles north of this northeast Missouri town, going into the path of the Texas auto.
