Dexter, MO Head On Collision, July 1976

MOTHER, DAUGHTER KILLED IN WRECK.

Dexter, Mo. (AP) - A mother and her daughter were killed and two other persons seriously injured today in a head-on collision on Stoddard County Route AD about 2 miles north of Dexter in southeastern Missouri.
Killed was MARBA DEAN GROMER, 25, of Dexter, and her 3-year-old daughter BILLIE JO.
Another daughter, ANGELA, 5, and another passenger in the Gromer station wagon, LILLY FOSTER, 28, also of Dexter, were seriously injured.
The highway patrol said a pickup truck driven by LOREN DALE SIELERT, 17, of Dexter, was on the wrong side of the road and collided head-on with the GROMER vehicle.
SIELERT and a passenger in his truck, LINDA PHILLIPS, 17, of Puxico, Mo., escaped with minor injuries.
The accident occurred just a few minutes after midnight.
