Kansas City, MO Two Car Auto Collision, May 1953

SEVEN PERSONS KILLED IN TWO-AUTO ACCIDENT.

Kansas City, Mo. (UP) -- Seven persons were killed and an eighth was critically injured in a head-on collision of two automobiles early Saturday on the A.S.B. bridge spanning the Missouri River here.
Investigating officers said wreckage of the automobiles that collided on the bridge was "so twisted it's hard to tell what happened." They said it appeared "liquor and excessive speed" were involved.
Killed in the crash were:
WILLIE MUNSEN.
DONNA JEAN MUNSEN.
MABLE GRIDER.
PATRICIA ANN MULLEN.
JOHN EDWARD MEFFORD.
BEDFORD GRIDER, all of Kansas City, Mo.
LEO BANNISTER, Odessa, Mo.
In critical condition at General Hospital is WANDA HONTZ, of Kansas City.
