3 Tyler Men Safe After Plane Crash
ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 5.--(AP)--Three Tyler, Tex., men escaped injury yesterday when their small plane crashed here during a take-off and burst into flames.
They were W. J. Smith, pilot; Mike H. McMurray, president of the McMurry Refining Co., and C. M. Bryson, head of the refinery's crude oil division.
The party was taking off from the Lambert-St. Louis Airport for Tyler when the wheels crumpled and the plane skidded on the runway.
