BLUFFTON BOY KILLED IN ACCIDENT IN MICHIGAN
James Penrod Meets Death and Brother Fatally Injured.
MOTORCYCLE LEAVES ROAD.

BLUFFTON, Ind., May 23.---Mr. and Mrs. Chester Penrod, residing south of the city left late Tuesday afternoon for Iona, Mich., in response to a message that their son, James, was killed and another son, Samuel, was a the point of death, as the result of an accident. After their departure dispatches stated that the boys were in an accident in which the motorcycle on which they were riding, left the road and crashed into a telephone pole. James was driving the machine and was thrown against the pole so forcefully that he was crushed and killed instantly. Samuel was taken to a nearby city and placed in a hospital. The two boys worked in a chair factory in Iona and were enroute to work at the time of the accident. They were trying to pass an automobile.
