WEST SPRINGFIELD.

The condition of Joseph Sherman of Russell street, Merrick, the Boston and Albany brakeman, who was thrown from the top of a freight car near Chatham, Wednesday, is much improved. He is still at the Mercy hospital and is attended by Dr. T. S. Bacon. It is thought that he will be in a condition to leave the hospital in a few days.
