New Orleans, LA Diver Imprisoned on Bottom of Lake, Sept 1930
New Orleans, Sept. 9--(INS) a crew of 200 men toiled today to save Nick Danise, 60, diver imprisoned on the bottom of Lake Pontchartain. Danise went into a drainage canal yesterday to locate a cave in. Another cave in pinioned him between two pilings. Because of the tremendous pressure of the water, it was extremely difficult for rescuing divers to reach him. Efforts of divers during the night were ineffectual. Two sons of Danise worked to save their father.
