G. E., Road Accidents Kill Two
An industrial accident and a traffic crash killed two young men here yesterday. LONNIE EDWIN TIPTON, 18, Finchville, died of injuries suffered when he became enmeshed in a conveyor belt at General Electric's Appliance Park about 7:45 p.m. A spokesman at General Electric said Tipton was alone on his lunch hour at the time of the accident. He was a line loader in the home-laundry department and had been employed there about two months.

LONNIE EDWIN "EDDIE" TIPTON - The funeral for LONNIE EDWIN TIPTON, 18, victim of an industrial accident, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fisherville Baptist Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington. Tipton died of injuries suffered when he became enmeshed in a conveyor belt at General Electric Company's Appliance Park about 7:45 p.m. Friday. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Tipton, ?10? Chambe-----(fold in original newspaper-not legible) Tipton graduated from Shelby County High School in June and started working at Appliance Park in August. He was a member of the Fisherville Baptist Church. Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Warren Scott and Teddy Lee Tipton; two sisters, Lorna Eileen and Theresa Lee Tipton, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Reed, Shelbyville, KY. The body is at Foreman Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Road.
