WOMAN KILLED BY PENNSYLVANIA TRAIN
MRS. ANNA HINKEL, A WELL KNOWN CHARACTER, RUN OVER
AT VALPARAISO, IND.
Mrs. Anna Hinkel, aged thirty, for years a character at the town of Valparaiso, Ind., is dead as the result of injuries she received when she was struck by a Pennsylvania train last night. She was found by several men who were walking on the tracks, and died at the Christian hospital.
According to the Valparaiso police department, the woman had been drinking and wandered on the tracks while under the influence of liquor. It is not known what train hit her.
She was found close to the south rail of No. 1 track, about seventy feet west of the depot building, and one leg was terribly mangled. An ambulance was called and she was hurried to the hospital, where she died early this morning.
