Montpelier, IN Glycerine Explosion, Dec 1896
Portland, Ind., Dec. 23.---A glycerine magazine near Montpelier exploded today with terrific force. Harry Adams and George Pocock, were blown to atoms. A great hole in the ground is the only mark left to show the location of the building. Chimneys were blown and windows broken at distant points, and the shock was felt for miles around.
