Bartholomew County, IN Two Car Crash, May 1997

Five people, including a mother and two of her children, died Sunday in a head-on collision on Ind. 9 in eastern Bartholomew County.
A sheriff's department spokesman said the accident occurred at 1:08 p.m. when a southbound car driven by TERESA A. MILLER, 30, of North Vernon, crossed the center line for an unknown reason and collided with a car driven by DONALD E. BRUNNI, 61, of Hope.
MILLER was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of her three sons who were passengers in her car, BRYAN SCOTT MILLER, 10, and SHAWN MICHAEL MILLER, 7, died hours later.
Another son, JOSHUA DAVID MILLER, 11, was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was listed in critical condition today after undergoing surgery Sunday night.
BRUNNI - owner of Brunni Corp., a Greensburg concrete company - died in the Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room.
His wife, KATHRYN L. BRUNNI, 60, a passenger in the vehicle her husband was driving, died at 8 p.m. Sunday at Methodist.
The sheriff's department said all the victims were wearing seat belts. Bartholomew County Coroner Joyce A. Fisher said blood tests on MILLER revealed no alcohol.
