Larwill, IN Fire, Jul 1937

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind., July --(U.P.)--Two business buildings were ruined late last night and several others threatened by a fire of unknown origin at Larwill, near here.

Starting in the Fred Young general store, the blaze quickly burned the store's frame building to the ground and spread to the Northern Indiana Power company's brick office, gutting it and destroying its contents.

Firemen from Columbia City, Larwill and Pierceton brought the flames under control with cistern water after they had ignited two other business buildings. Damage was placed at $20,000.
