Andrew Moran Loses Life While Blind Companion Is Unable to Give Aid.

HAYDEN LAKE, Ida., Dec. 21.—While a blind man with whom he lived in a cabin on the shore of Hayden lake stood helpless, listening listening to his cries for help. Andrew Moran was carried into the water with the shifting cargo of a wood barge he was unloading and drowned last night.

Moran, who was 46 years old, was formerly a railroad contractor. He was hurt in a recent wreck at Sandpoint and was spending the winter here recovering from several minor injuries. He is not known to have had any property other than a few small coins in his pocket and his relatives are not known.
