Severe Storm Struck Marianna, Florida

Marianna, Fla., April 27 - A severe storm struck this place at 3 o'clock this morning, leaving destruction in its wake and causing the death of thirty cows belonging to a dairy farm, they having been crushed to death when the barn was blown down. Only one chimney remains in the entire town and small houses were blown down, trees uprooted and many handsome homes and business houses unroofed and partly demolished.

The confederate monument was blown down and broken in two pieces.

No lives were reported lost, but reports from outlying districts which also suffered from the storm are coming in slowly.
