Fort Lauderdale, FL Auto Crashes Into Lumber Truck, Jan 1956
SIX KILLED IN TRAFFIC CRASH.
Fort Lauderdale, Jan. 21 (AP) - An automobile rammed the rear of a stalled lumber truck at about 60 miles an hour early today, killing two infants and four adults.
Police identified the driver of the car as ROBERT MILLER, 25, a Miami construction worker.
Other victims were MILLER'S wife, INEZ;
ARTER LEE TEART, 32, a gardener;
TEART'S wife, MARY;
and two infants, all Miami Negroes.
The truck was driven by L. C. Fluker, who said he was directing a northbound car around the stalled truck when the Miller plowed through the warning markers into the rear of the heavy vehicle about 4:05 a.m.
